hey wassup y'all so this post is going to be about week 2 of our internship.

after production for the HarvestFest video, we began post. I'm working on sound, and music, everything. I have never thought that doing sound involves so much work, as what I did for school projects are really simple. But also because of that, I learnt many new things which are really useful, such as the amount of effort needed to listen to even the tiniest details.

Since start of work I have been concentrating on mostly sound work on the projects, including the Sunday morning service, because I'm more confident in that area. I do hope to build up some of my confidence for camera work too though. 

We went to a event for 'SF CUTTERS' which is apparently for all the editors around the area to learn about new softwares and stuff. I am a terrible editor myself but it's quite enriching to attend the session. There are also talks on audio so I was quite interested in that. 




& so I've won something for the first time in ma life!!! (ok...not really...)
We have these like, a ticket with a number on it. I am number 188 y'all !!!!

(There are actually about 20 winners so....) 

Ok as I was saying, I went up to pick out my prize, expecting something like a macbook pro, but nop, its mostly workshops and software plugins. I picked out this ,thinking its a free software but it is a workshop, with no software. I felt cheated to be honest hahahah.

'Cow Palace' whoop.

It's quite exciting!! The bulls part are scarier than the mad horses. One dude was injured so everyone was like shocked but I guess he's okay.

Although I don't really like Gangnam style, before the show started they played the song and people were like standing up and started dancing. It was pretty cool at that moment!!

So that pretty much sums up the second week, we're already starting shoot on the Thanksgiving video, and finishing up the HarvestFest video. Till' next time,

This is the second week.

so this week, we worked on post, did some simple filming and some sound bites . i did the simple vfx and mograph..!

filming and recording the cantonese section of the interviews of a video you probably dont know about.

boss and i climbed out the window to check it out lol and he thought i lied and photoshopped the smoke in! HAHAHHA.

visited adobe! for the SF cutter's talk. it was rather dry in my opinion but i still learnt quite a few tips and tricks from the editors that presented the talk.

so cool.

boss brought us to the rodeo! it was sooooo exciting! really loved it a lot.

sunday service production again.

i was on sound :( i really dislike being on sound cuz i really feel that i am tone deaf and dreadfully musically uninclined and being more of a visual person, i cant see sound, therefore i cant 'see' if i make a mistake! i was just really worried that i would do smth wrong. 

BUTTTTTT it was all ok in the end hahha ellis loves being on sound so she helped me out! i also did remote camera, it was really fun, like playing a video game.

the vfx and mograh were pretty fun to do, relatively simple, cartoonish and straight to the point cuz the video was directed to small kids. 

 well then, it was a gr8 week, work hard play hard, right?

Week 2

Helloooo I'm back with updating about our second week here as well as a little more from the first week. so we did some touristy things last week and went all the way to twin peaks. The view was absolutely stunning. & we fooled around with camera angles ahhaahahahahaha

 Also, during last week we visited fisherman's wharf and union square etc. I love the sealions at the wharf they were so cute. Hahahaha.

 

Fall.

 

this indie musician at the wharf was legit and amazing, covering ingrid, and DCFC pretty much flawlessly D:

 

Cheesecake factory was so sinful and amazing

 

last sunday we also caught a movie, their theatre concept is so amazing + the refillable popcorn and drinks are amaaahhazing.

Before all THE PLAY WE ALSO WORKED HARD hahaha and did a little bit of filming/learning how to do live filming which was pretty cool, and stressful at the same time, but mostly fun i really enjoyed it. I controlled the camera zoom pan action which looked really easy but was actually pretty tough.

DAILY EXERCISE HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. CUZ WE FIT.

THE LOVE OF MY LIFE BECAUSE THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER ;_; I have been trying to find it forever in Singapore. :(

 We visited adobe and that was pretty interesting also, some talk about the new features in final cut and premiere pro was helpful since I am a horrid Post person it helped me gain a better understanding.

A few days back we also shot for an interview, and I handled the camera. Like LEGIT WAS THE CAMERAMAN WHOOP. Okay even though I'm still quite confused I have gotten a better understanding and it was a great experience filming, no matter how simple that shoot was, it meant alot to myself and my pride that I did it ahhahaahahahahahahahaahaha

 coolest car to ever cool. 

 Died inside. Urban Outfitters my love. It was amazing seeing all these SHOPS IN REAL LIFE BECAUSE I'M ALWAYS GETTING THEM ONLINE. So yay!

 Harry brought us to catch the Rodeo show which was really cool and it gave us more knowledge about the traditions and culture here which broadened my knowledge drastically. Like I never even realise this was part of their culture and was legit. We got really into the whole rodeo thing halfway hahahahaha and got over excited. Snapped lotsa photos but here are some. :>

So this week is coming to an end and I will leave you with whatever I have posted today! Life has been amazing and I am blessed and thankful for having been safe etc etc the past 2 weeks. & to more weeks to come :)

         Also, I am very amazed by the decos they come up with. Hahaha it's really awesome. Happy Halloween even if we don't celebrate it.
